Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Screenivo digital signage platform, including the dashboard, player applications, API, and all related services (collectively, “the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Screenivo is a cloud-based digital signage platform that lets you upload media (images, videos, PDFs), organize content into playlists, pair and manage display screens, and deliver content in real time via browser-based and native player applications.

The Service is currently in beta. Features, pricing, and availability may change. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes in advance.

2. Account Registration

You may register using an email address and password or through Google OAuth. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at [email protected].

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Display unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringing content
  • Distribute malware or attempt to compromise the Service's security
  • Interfere with other users' access or the operation of the platform
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited advertising or spam
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Exceed your plan's storage or screen limits through circumvention

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Screenivo (images, videos, PDFs, and other media). By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, cache, and deliver your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to display any content you upload, including third-party media and YouTube videos embedded via URL.

When you delete content or your account, we will remove your files from our storage (Backblaze B2) and CDN cache. Cached copies on Cloudflare's edge network may persist briefly until cache expiry.

5. Plans and Billing

Screenivo offers a free plan and paid subscription plans (Starter, Pro, Business). Each plan has defined screen limits and storage quotas. Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through our billing partner, Polar.

You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice.

6. Screen Pairing and Player Applications

Screens are paired to your account using a temporary 4-digit PIN transmitted over a WebSocket connection. Player applications (browser, Android TV, and other supported platforms) maintain a persistent connection to receive content updates in real time.

You are responsible for securing physical access to screens and player devices connected to your account. Device tokens are stored locally on each player device and can be revoked by unpairing the screen from the dashboard.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance, and outages may occur due to circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from downtime.

8. Intellectual Property

The Screenivo platform, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Screenivo and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Screenivo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost revenue, data loss, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard settings. Upon deletion, we will remove all your data, including uploaded media files, playlists, screen configurations, and active subscriptions.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or other users.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice in the dashboard. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of the Czech Republic.
